フランスから3週間こえび寮に滞在しながらこえび隊の活動に参加してくれた、ジジさん。
2016年に瀬戸内国際芸術祭を巡った際に、こえび隊があることを知り申し込みをしてくれました。実際に活動に参加した感想を書いてもらいました。

Koebitai staff asked me to write a few words to explain why I am taking part in the 2019 Setouchi Triennale Autumn Session.

So to have the opportunity to come again to setouchi, to help the organization I decided to apply.
I am pleased to be here with the Setouchi Staff.
Everybody is kind and helpful, I appreciate I am having a great time here.

The fact is that I was 2016 a visitor to the Summer Session of Setouchi Triennale. I enjoyed it very much and saw many interesting artworks. The project of asking artists all over the world to contribute to the revival of this so beautiful region by exhibiting art overall is really wonderful. I heard that the whole organization staff is made of volunteers.

After participating in the activity I feel proud that I make it!
But without the so kind help of all staff members I wouldn’t have succeeded alone in doing the reception work.
Thanks for all of you for having comforted me and given confidence. I tried to do my best for making no mistakes by welcoming the visitors. Taking care of the artwork and count the money! I hope I didn’t discieve you!

Besides I am very glad to notice how it feels to stay a whole day with one work : you almost become part of it. The feeling is different than seeing an art work after an other , in a row.

Although I must confess that the rhythm of standing so early, sharing all facilities with younger folk and having the responsibility of the reception for 7 hours was a little rough for me”elderly”lady,but i don’t regret having taken part of the organization. I again must thank all of you for making it possible and enjoyable.
