中学生こえび活動日記！The Diary of a Junior High Schooler in Koebi-tai!
僕は13歳、中学1年生です。
新潟市から電車で香川県高松市までやってきました。
4泊5日でこえび寮に泊まりながら、こえび活動をしています。
I’m 13 years old, in my first year at Junior High School.
I took a train from Niigata City to come to Takamatsu City in Kagawa Prefecture.
I am staying in the Koebi Dormitory for 5 days 4 nights while taking part in Koebi Activities.
初めての島活動は男木島でした。
The first island activity was on Ogijima.
TEAM男気の作品の柵を漁網で作りました。
アーティストのみなさんが優しく、とても楽しかったです。
We made the structure of TEAM男気(TEAM OTOKOGI)’s artwork using fishing nets.
The artists were very kind, and it was really enjoyable.
2日目は小豆島に行きました。
船で島に行き、島内は車で移動して、作品の設置場所まで向かいます。
On the second day, we went to Shodoshima.
We took a ferry to the island, then drove towards the location of the installation in a car.
お手伝いをしたのは、リンさんの作品です。
竹を使って建物みたいな大きな作品を作っていました。
The artwork we were helping out with was Lin-san’s artwork.
It is a large artwork, resembling a building made of bamboo.
お手伝い内容は、竹を運んだり、竹を切ったりしました。
作業途中でみんなで記念写真をとりました！
リンさんとも記念写真をとりました。
ラインで送ってもらいました！
We also took a photo with Lin-san as a memento.
He sent me this photo through LINE!
3日目は女木島に行きました。
空き家掃除をしました。
On the third day, we went to Megijima.
We cleaned up an unoccupied house.
こえび寮に宿泊中は、毎晩夕ご飯をつくりました。
初日の夜は卵を使った謎の食べ物（普通の味でした）
While staying at the Koebi dormitory, I made dinner every night.
On the first night, I used eggs and made this ‘unidentified’ dish (the taste was nothing
special).
2日目の夜は、ひき肉を使った野菜炒め。
白ご飯ももちろん炊いています。
On the second night, I stir-fried minced meat with vegetables.
Of course, I steamed white rice too.
3日の夜は、ウインナーのキャベツ巻き、えのきのハム巻き、キムチ豆腐とキャベツ。
みんなでシェアして食べました。
On the third night, it was cabbage-wrapped sausages, ham-wrapped enoki mushrooms and
kimchi tofu with cabbage.
Everyone shared the food for dinner.
一緒に泊まっている香港からきているサポーターの方と一緒に料理しました！

今日で活動は終わりです。
明日、新潟に帰ります。
Today is the last day of my volunteer work with Koebi-tai.
I’m returning home to Niigata tomorrow.
外国人と話す機会はあまりないのでたくさん話して、たくさん友達を作りました。夏休みにもまた瀬戸芸のサポーターとしてまた、香川県に戻ってきたいです。ここに来てできた友達とも、また会いたいです。
I don’t usually have the chance to speak with foreigners, but this time I spoke a lot and made
many friends. During my Summer break, I want to be a volunteer for Setouchi Art Triennale
again and return to Kagawa prefecture. I would like to meet the friends I’ve met here again.
