Hello! This is the Office of Koebi-tai, the volunteer group of Setouchi Triennale. There is a growing number of volunteers from overseas right now, and we are so happy meet different people from all around the world. Even if you cannot speak Japanese, you are welcome to join and work with us!
For Koebi volunteers from overseas, we have prepared the following introduction in English on the daily schedule of activities as well as on our Dormitory - which is free of charge. Please have a read, and we are waiting for your application!
Koebi activities are mainly conducted in Japanese.
Meanwhile, volunteers from overseas are also accepted, and they will work together with our staff or other Koebi members.
Foreign members who can speak Japanese are mostly welcomed; for those who cannot speak Japanese, why not to learn a sentence or two (e.g. greetings, etc.) before you come?
This will make your experience here a more enjoyable one.
In any case, your knowledge in other languages is a great help for us.
During the Spring Session, there were a great number of volunteers from overseas, and their English-speaking ability was very helpful for foreign visitors.
※Please note that, due to administrative reasons, we are not able to provide invitation letters for the purpose of visa application. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
※Although all volunteer activities are covered by volunteers insurance, we strongly recommended that Koebi members from overseas purchase travel insurance for your whole trip in Japan.
The two pieces of writing, A Day of Koebi Activities and All you may know about Koebi Dormitory, are written by a volunteer from overseas who has joined our activities. Please have a read
